Lake Iroquois 10 out of 10

Thanks to Chi’s early post, we had time to drive to Iroquois Lake and experience the 10/10 ice. Chi was not exaggerating except for a few small stretches where the ice was 9.8/10. It is beautiful black ice with a very smooth surface. Only about 2.5” thick but very uniformly so (as far as we could tell). I spotted no hazards. We launched at Iroquois boat launch (Beebe Ln, Williston, VT). Hope it is as gorgeous tomorrow as it was today.
