Sand Bar, Bar and Grill

I think a bunch of folks will be skating the Inland Sea between Hero’s Welcome and Apple Island so wanted to share and restaurant rec.

We got dinner and beers at Sandbar Bar and Grill after our skate yesterday and it was great. It’s a big space with a variety of beers on tap and a pretty extensive menu. You have Hero’s to the north if you want a break but Sandbar would also make a nice Apres Skate. We learned that they just opened in May.

Heidi and I had a beer and a bite to eat here yesterday after getting off the ice, it was a lovely to get to watch all the joyful people playing hockey and skating off of Apple Island Marina, as well as a great view of Outer mallets Bay, with heroes welcome, and the sandbar bar and Grill. It feels like we're getting some civilized European style skating experiences out there. Now we just need a coffee and croissant stand on the ice!  Evan
