Not all the data is in yet, but here are a few records already set.

Burlington's warmest winter since 1886, when recording started, & cloudiest January since 1951.  Other areas, too:

I would like recommendations of where to buy Nordic skates. I live in the Burlington area.

I appreciate the knowledge of this group.

Thanks,
Lynda Maitland

Hi Lynn,

I changed the subject line of your post to reflect its content & maybe attract more responses to your question.  :)

Unless you need them right away for what, if anything, remains of the current season, you may be better off waiting until there is a better selection next year.

However, if you are getting just blades (and not boots or poles, for example), Nordic Skater in Newbury New Hampshire does a mail order business and has been running spring sales. They told me this fall they will not be carrying Isvidda skate blades much longer. Lundhag skate blades (and Lundhag products) are no longer being exported to the U.S. so my understanding is that NS will soon only carry Zandstra blades.

Human Power Planet Earth in Saranac Lake, New York, also does mail order business.

If it comes to it, you could order from Scandinavian websites, eg Varuste.net

Any of the brick and mortar shops or online could talk you through your choices, EG length and style, binding and boot matching, etc.

Best,
Jo

Oops, sorry - Lynda, not Lynn.
And I forgot to change the subject line after saying I would.
Should probably go to bed early tonight...
Cheers,
Jo     🙂

Ermine Skate also does free USPS Priority shipping everywhere in the United States and has nearly all skate colors and sizes in stock :)

True!  An oversight leaving Ermine Skate off this list, now corrected!  I received my item fast with free shipping and my questions were all quickly answered!  :)  Jo
