Lake Morey's trail will continue to be maintained (brushed) until Thursday.  While natural conditions may allow for skating later into the season, the trail will no longer be maintained.  

The town and resort have done a fantastic job making this incredible resource available to all, bringing great camaraderie and enjoyment to countless people this season. 

As of today,  the combination of that great enjoyment by many, plus recent weather conditions, have created a rather rough surface all the way around, especially near the start.  Even with nordic skates it varies from textured to bumpy with much pockmarking.  These conditions require great attentiveness and I recommend kneepads if you have them and a helmet, ski or bike will do. 

Perhaps Saturday's high temps will help, IF people stay off while it's soft.  Here's hoping for resurfacing to extend the season a bit longer.  Pics attached.
