We skied out from Starr farm beach where we ran in to David and rob ,we skated together up to around providence island. At that point Jo and I continued exploring the big open plates of black ice and then headed south as big open leads up there prevented us from heading farher north and west. From there we had an excellent skate all the way to the four brothers . In general excellent black ice skating the whole time ,with plenty of slush band and slushed out frozen snow drift crossing (which could mostly be skated at speed). We basically followed the newer ice (darker on sat image) and left many miles on the table that we did not get to. About 43 miles of amazing big lake skating,it's a wonderland out there. Tommorrow morning looks good before the snow. There could be some shifting ice up north by the open leads when the wind switches to the south around nooon tommorrow.
