Hello Everyone,

I am pleased to announce that after a 2 year + hiatus, we were finally able to plow a trail on the north half of Mascoma Lake in Enfield, NH. The trail is a 1.6 mile out and back from Shakoma Beach to a rink out in front of the Baited Hook restaurant. The trail is probably about 10 feet wide and has not been brushed but is very skateable. There are some rougher areas where old air pockets or shell ice was plowed out and left dips and bumps but there is a lot of pretty smooth grey ice. We are hoping to potentially brush or  widen the trail in the future. Stayed tuned. From a safety point of view, please consider wearing helmets. This trail attracts many recreational skaters like Morey. There are many dry cracks and trip hazards that can cause a fall and out of all of the people I ran into, I was the only one in a helmet. If you have a ski helmet or even a bike helmet, please wear it. Brains are beautiful things and need to be protected. Bonus Aurora pic from last night on the lake.
