Stiles pond, Shadow Lake, Miles pond

On Sunday, 

Stiles Pond was solid,3.5 inches thick, grey, with mostly smooth wet surface on the southeast end and along Route 18. Black ice in the center was 2-poke ice which I chose not to try. See photo

Shadow Lake in Concord VT was 4 inches, with 1/4 to 3/4-inches top  water, smooth, hard, grey on the northern half of the lake. I chose not to skate the darker southern half. Photo 2

Miles Pond was not ready in my opinion except for the closest 150 yards from the boat launch.

Great report Ken! there is a good chance those thinner areas could resurface well this week,maybe by Wednesday or more likely Thursday .
