The Connecticut River is open from Wells River to just north of North thetford, south of East thetford it is wedded out snow ice shore to shore. Down as far as ledyard bridge. No testing or checking was done. Like Morey is wetted out, a pickup truck was out there at a shanty today. Yesterday lake Tarleton is in the process of wetting out pretty completely, lake Catherine was still mostly snow covered. All of the Bob houses were in the parking lot at Tarleton yesterday. People out fishing with sleds and wheelers. Looks like you could pick your way easily around where most of the vehicle traffic has been. Maybe a freeze up could bring out possibilities at some of these places. The river has rapidly turned to water over the last few days from Newbury, South through Bradford..
