hi david, just saw your post. yes, inline skating is fun and of course, healthy. i use speedskates with three 125 mm wheels. the large wheels create a very efficient skating experience, along with being able to go over most small trail debrie. that said, if the pavement is damp, the urethane wheels slip noticeably on the side push part of your skating stride. if the pavement dampness is only here and
there.it's do-able with visual awareness. i always try to stay "ahead" of myself 20' or so :-) . so far the only nordic skater that i know of that also inlines is kevin boyle in the adk's. we're both in n.y...i have two paved bikepaths nearby (i'm in glens falls) that i use quite frequently. anyway, have fun and keep upright....john s.
