The WebCam at Lake Morey is showing ice that has been blown clean of snow this morning. That lake has been frozen for a couple weeks now it was covered with snow and then resurfaced to what looked like really good conditions on the WebCam and then got some snow on it, which has since blown off. I have tried with no avail to get local folks to check it, but I think it's a safe bet for anybody who wants to go skate it . Obviously, you will need to do your own checking, but I have observed it from the highway on several occasions and it's been frozen for quite some time, that does not mean there are not thin spots where the streams come in, but it's likely the whole thing is solid. Also a very good chance that there is some very good quality ice out there as other lakes that went through the same sequence have very high-quality ice. As this is one of the few good venues in Vermont right now, even though New Hampshire has an embarrassment of riches. It would be great for someone to check it and report on it. Happy Skating, Evan
