Can anyone speak to this, what's happening with the ice there? From FB today.

The darker ice to the left of the open water is not thin (even though it is labeled so.I skated them today 5" predominantly. The white thin ice plates are just breaking off into the open water which did not freeze last night.

I skied on Malletts Bay this week, too muc snow, not skate able.
