Ponds in Dartmouth area

Hi everyone, 

This is my first post! Discovered Nordic skating middle of last winter and have been hooked ever since. I went to check out 3 smaller bodies of water in my area today (2pm)

George Pond - even at the very outer edges only 1”… 2-3 pokes at the boat launch area 

Crystal Lake , Nh - gorgeous looking black ice on 2/3rds of the lake but I was limited to the boat launch area (lots of snow) since most of the surrounding area is private land, hard to test.  The boat launch is mostly unplowed so can be difficult for some. 

Anderson Pond- a small offshoot of Eastman Pond was lovely and at the edge was 3-4 pokes, About 1.5 “ . Only issue is this is a private community but is listed in AllTrails as a good gentle family hike. Not sure about winter enforcement but  a short beautiful 5 min hike in. 

I only have pics of George pond and Anderson pond. 

So looking forward to this season of skating !
