Hi all,
Ben, Maria and I had a fantastic sunrise skate from Charlotte town beach this morning. We mostly followed Charlene's tracks from yesterday so nothing terribly new to report.
Nice strong, thick ice that was pretty quiet while we were there. A couple pressure ridges that were well sealed up and easy to cross and a few leads that were between two and 4 inches wide that had one poke ice in betweern.
The black ice plates continue to be stunningly smooth and beautiful. Could have spent way more time out there but am grateful that this ice is in our backyard and we can squeak in a skate before work. What a tremendous gift!
Cheers,
Kitty
