Colchester Pond - 12/13

A thin layer of snow obscures the ice surface now but it does not impede movement. About a dozen tiny cracks have opened up with very short pieces of crunchy shell ice on either side. These are visible and easy to navigate. There are no longer any visual cues for when the black ice ends but it's obvious enough underfoot and the skating is still very, very good.
