Lake Fairlee conditions

The lake was very good today.. Totally solid for several inches. Couldn't get a pole through it. The extensive network of cracks had leaked and created long alleys of good skatable ice and between them were snowfields with even smoother ice. I spent an hour there and went on to Miller pond. That had a total snow cover but was a good ride on the Mtn Bike. Not recommended for skating . All the blister ice catches your blades and isn't visible till you hit it.
