Do any of you all have information about the pond on Lily pond Road in WRJ? Looks very frozen. I'm new to skating so I don't feel qualified to determine if it's skatable.

Hi all,

I'll be curious how things have resurfaced this week. Does anyone have eyes
on the Inland Sea? The Hero's Welcome webcam looks like they got some snow.

Thanks!

If there are any less wild skaters, interested in going from Charlotte or
Burlington area to skate on Lake Morey on Sunday, I would be interested.
Sounds like the ice might be good again by then.

Does anyone know where you can get your Nordic skates sharpened on the
Burlington area?

Thank,

And you can buy or make your own sharpening jig.

Here's the link for making a DIY Nordic Skating jig
<https://crust.outlookalaska.com/DIYSkateSharpeningJig.htm>. This
plan holds the skate blades in place with a metal plate. A thick piece of
plywood would work too.

Here's Diana Hanks's excellent Sharpening Nordic and Speedskate Blades
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1j46YJjfXk> instructional video.
