Used dry suit - borrow, buy or rent?

I've never used a dry suit and I'd love to try one out for paddling. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what size I need. I'm 5'4" with a need for hip room. If you have one or know someone who has one I can try out, rent or buy, I'd love that!

I'd also love information about how to tell if a dry suit is worn out, does it matter if it's a men's or women's suit, how to take care one, and any other information you think may be helpful that would be good for me to know about. I greatly appreciate this!
