Kettle Pond

Skated on Kettle Pond based on a previous post. At least 4 inches of ice throughout except for the wetland at the southeast end.

Quick Kettle Pond update:  Just got back from Kettle Pond in Groton after skating on Stiles earlier.  Kettle was really solid orange peel skating with a large lovely smooth patch mid-pond on the south shore opposite the “boat portage dock” just a short stroll from the parking area.  Should still be good to great skating tomorrow I’d imagine!  Thanks again to Evan for teaching his ice safety class that gave us the tools & confidence we needed to begin venturing out a bit more on our own! :).
