Great Ice Festival this Weekend

Sharing in case any of you haven't seen this. Cool that they're doing an ice rescue demonstration and I love the notion of ice bowling and driving the Zamboni!

The Great Ice Festival is a hoot! We’ll be up at our heated camp cabin for the weekend. The highlight is the giant bonfire and fireworks Friday night. Last season there were probably 600-700 people there. We spoke to a couple who had come all the way from the NEK to attend! 

The “Out & Back” walk/skate/ski to Knight Island on Sunday is also fun. We haven’t been able to do it for the past couple of years due to ice conditions, but this year should be good—for skiing at least…

It would be great if someone attends at least the rescue clinic and connect with the volunteer team there and let them know about the sk802 crew. I don't know if we can make it that day. We need to build our connections with the greater community and perhaps this can lead to a ice rescue clinic in the future
