Wrightsville Reservoir - Montpelier

I went out to scout the reservoir this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to see someone already out there skating! 

Grey snow ice but snow-free and he reported it was fairly smooth.

Getting onto the ice can be tricky because the water level has dropped so there’s slanted ice along the edge, so spikes are definitely recommended and you may want a plank to bridge over some thin edge sections.
