Getting on at fishing access was a mile of struggle. Outer bay is rough but very fun because it is uniform. Pressure ridge at mouth easy to cross, but had to violently wet foot rule

Thanks for the report. The “dry foot” policy first elucidated by John Rosenthal, is policy, not rule. Most importantly the dry foot policy counsels patience when addressing “iffy” situations. Unlike a rule, the policy can be varied to address situations like you found today.

just wear touring ski boots, then you can fully submerge them and dump em out on the other side!
