Waterbury, Reservoir, Waterberry, Vermont 12/22

I am including a satellite picture of Waterbury Reservoir from today .

it looks like there may be some good skating ice represented in gray that can probably only be accessed from the dam, as the eastern section of the Reservoir is still open, at least as far as I can tell from the satellite, although there may be thin, ice that did not show up. Also, an interesting black pool surrounded by snow on the northern section. That could be great black ice as well. Probably worth a check out for somebody in the area tomorrow. Just treat any snow covered ice with extreme care. there are also lots of active gas holes in the northern section that is snow covered so be wary of those. I have not been on the ice, but thought it important to  share.
