Shadow Lake - Concord 1/18

Went to Shadow Lake out in Concord today, putting in at the boat launch. Was completely covered in powder but most skatable closer to the boat launch. Mostly orange peel textured but enough to get some momentum. Further towards the center of the lake there were soft pockets of ice everywhere I would stumble into, not the greatest skate I've had.

Been looking around the NEK for some decent skating, haven't found any as of late. If anyone has any recommendations let me know!

Reports about ice that isn't good are valuable, too, and can help us predict where better ice may be.

I'm sure lots of us would like to know if anybody is finding skatable ice (or not great ice, too).  Please report if you have.   👍
