We hacked thru 4" with an ice ax in several places and it was still solid. Considerable blister ice on the east side, relatively clear on the west. About 50% has light dusting of powder. Ice is grey due to embedded snow and air, not black and smooth. Cloudless sky and comfortable temps. I plan to go back tomorrow afternoon.

I have a haircut in Norwich at 2 and I am thinking of getting a skate in arriving a little after 3.  I have never skated Miller.  Any recommended park and skate points on the west side?
