By some miracle the ice on moore reservoir has mostly survived the thaw (from what I could see by the dam and the dodge hill boat launch). there is a big section of open water by the dam and a few small open patches here and there. The main body was sub 2” ice going in to the thaw, I suspect it was paper thin before last night’s freeze . The large bay to the south west of the dodge hill boat launch is a supportable 2” of mildly textured black ice today I would bet the rest of the reservoir is to thin today, there might be more supportable tomorrow but Tuesday should be enough time to thicken everywhere besides todays open spots.the snow line in this area was about 1000’ so moore is basically clean being below that.
