Happy Anniversary to our Listserv

Fifteen years ago yesterday, Jan DeVries created this listserv which was originally on Yahoo. He and I had been discussing how useful it would be to get reports from all over the state about ice conditions since both of us lived in towns without decent-sized bodies of water. Fifteen years later, this group has exceeded expectations. We have 668 members and this year we've had a bunch of new voices providing input on skating surfaces across the state. In addition, we have had some good conversations about safety and gear.

This is a thank you to everyone who has scouted and reported on ice. Remember that even if the conditions aren't good or if you saw a potential surface that is still open water, all information is useful.
