Hello Skaters

Thank you to the 32 skaters who have signed up for Sunday's clinic!

A few IMPORTANT updates for the upcoming workshop:
  1. We were able to secure ORCA Media (the local open access non-profit) to record this training and publish on their website. Because of this, all participants must provide consent. We will have a sign-up for consent at the event.
  2. Because we don't have a bouncer and to respect Evan's and the organizers' time, we ask everyone to arrive promptly before 4:30pm. After that, we will not be monitoring the doors.
  3. We still have space, so sign up before 5pm Saturday 2/14 (invitation at the bottom of the e-mail). Professor Evan has "pre-read homework" for those who have RSVP'ed. After 5pm we will close registration and will send out the homework as we don't have the capacity to monitor the RSVP after that.
  4. The schedule for Sunday will be a combination of lecture and hands-on interactive (off-ice) exercises and planned breaks (see general schedule).
General schedule:
  • 3:30-4:00 - Organizers set up.
  • 4:00-4:30 - Arrival: sign-in, consent, drop off potluck, grab food, socialize/icebreaker?  (30 minutes)
  • 4:30-5:30 - Big Lakes Part #1 (60 minutes)
  • 5:30-5:45 - Break and eat seconds (15 minutes)
  • 5:45-6:45 - Big Lakes Part #2 (60 minutes)
  • 6:45-7:00 - Break and eat thirds (15 minutes)
  • 7:00-7:45 - Rescue and Leadership #3 (45 minutes)
