Lake George?

Anyone have recent scouting or anything to share about Lake George?

The satellite imagery from 12/30 showed open water. There is a webcam at Chic's Marina in Bolton Landing and Blue Lagoon Resort in Lake George Village, both of which are dark now obviously but could be worth checking in the AM after the cold night.

I’m in Bolton Landing—the main lake here is still wide open all the way across. some small bays have iced over, and Also Huddle bay: I skated the Southern end last week and looks like most of the rest of it has iced over. Will check soon — here’s a pic I took from Bradley Lookout today— you can see Huddle to the far right— white, as unfortunately we got a couple inches last night

A decent amount of the south basin skimmed over last night, and then it snowed all day (about 2”). A lot of the snow looked wet on my drive home from work, so I don’t go out and check. My guess is that it melts and opens back up after the rain and warm up this week.

Below is a view just now of LG from the Algonquin Webcam (next to Chic’s)— that’s sweetbriar island, then in mid-distance Clay Island and Buck Mountain beyond. you can see ice has snapped across greater Huddle Bay, but already has 1-2 inches of snow with warmup on way
