On the first day of spring, two skaters did a tour of Inner Mallets Bay. We microspiked until we got to the decent ice and then did some perimeter skating while trying to find the good lanes. The pressure ridge leading to the Outer Bay was wet and crossable at points but we decided not to risk it. I won't pretend it was awesome skating but it's nice to welcome a new season by not letting go of the old one.
