when I try to create a new project, gedit says Can't load project, no
suitable backend found

Am I supposed to have something in the folder already?

Hi Matt,

yes the vtg's project manager has only readonly support for autotools /
automake projects.

So in your project directory the files configure.ac and Makefile.am
should already be created.

You can use the "New project" menu' item to create a template project
and the start to modify it.

Bye,
Andrea
