Aaron will be there, Robert can make it if he gets a ride, Lex can't
come til after work. If we get one more I can pick up Robert.

That's the problem - a good place to play. The hobby store we're
talking about here is holding a major event on January 21st.
Otherwise it would be a nice place. I can't imagine inviting 10
people to my hole of an apartment, assuming others brought an extra
table and chairs.

There is a restaurant in West Los Angeles called Dolores Restaurant
where you can go and game all day. A friend of mine has a gaming day
there every second Saturday of the month. The food is overpriced and
acceptable at best, but they have a nice space - comfortable chairs
and booths separated from the front dining area. They even serve
alcohol. I could provide a sleeping place for one visitor. That's
the best I can come up with for you Las Vegans...

Whatever happened to the game store in Santa Monica? No playing there
anymore?

Why would you play at Aero Hobbie when you could play at Emerald
Knights? Aero Hobbies is cramped and dirty with a badly situated
gaming space and a filthy bathroom. Emerald Knights has a lot of
space (at least if you go at the right time) and is clean. They have
better snacks available. Emerald Knights is also centrally located to
the players (meaning I can walk there ;0 ), while Aero Hobbies is a
long drive to everyone but Dennis.

Aero is fine with me. It is close enough for me but it is far from
everyone else. The gaming space is tight and is better set up for
warhammer. Aero was my FLGS when I was in school. The previous owner
was always nice to me and my friends before he died. The new owner has
been the same. When I spend money on games, I think of Aero first. I
often will pay the extra money to buy it there than pay less at an
online store (I don't buy games that often though). Really, Aero is
good for a game with four or five players but if it is a group big
enough for two or more games it is a tight fit.

there is a store down devonshire that is closer to me than Aero, but I
won't buy anything there. Some stores you get the feeling - this is
not where I want to spend my money. I'm sure that others get this
feeling about Aero and think the store down on Devoshire is great.

I don't know if you've heard, but Third Planet closed up shop (at
least thats the last I had heard). I remember when you showed me
Battle of Five Armies and said it was just in. I didn't have the money
at the time ($50?), I wish I could have bought it then.

I read above that the "The hobby store we're
talking about here is holding a major event on January 21st."

That's all I was responding to. Agreed, anything in the valley is
better than Aero for the majority of players it seems. Never been to
Aero, have no opinion. Except maybe it could do in a pinch.

Good luck, can't make it tomorrow, have to work.

Sad about Third Planet. Their web site is definitely down. I have no
contacts there, nor have I had them for a while, so can't confirm.

Thanks for the news. Yes - you should have bought battle of five
armies. I wish I had myself.

Okay, we are meeting tomorrow. We have four players coming: Me, Andy,
James, and Scythe.

One more to make five...
