So, what number BRC is this? Is it the five year anniversary?

Sounds like Kevin has some victory plans. ...hmmm, I wonder if they
include RPG's?

Where is the tourney being held? What are we looking at for prize
support and such? Can we arrive before noon? And most importantly,
whose thinking of going?

I'm considering traveling over, and if I do, I count on seeing 'the
regulars'; but any chance I'll see Wayne, or Wade, or Cam. just to
mention a few?

Also, Anders do you think you might bring along his copy of Dominion?

Jim

P.S. Does anyone want to get something going Saturday, and make a
weekend of it?

This will be our 5th Annual Blood Runs Cold event. This will be our
5th Annual Blood Runs Cold event. It has been a great 5 years of
vampire in the northland, and it looks to continue in the same strong,
friendly, and competitive spirit.

In addition to ‘the regulars’, Trent has recently come back to the
group, as well as Little Kyle. It has been a blast to have these
players in the games with us, and I am hoping to see some others come
out for the tournament.

The details.

Where: Plaza Bowl
801 7th St N
Virginia, MN 55792
Tournament will be held in the alley’s bar, the 11th Frame.

When: Sunday, January 31st from Noon to 10

Entry Fee: $5

Prizes: 2 Boosters to all participants. Additional prizes for the
final table. After the first and second rounds, there will be even
more prizes given out to all who attend!

I am working on getting the alley open at 11, and will let everyone
know as soon as I do.

I would love to get something going on Saturday night! Anyone have any
ideas/recommendations/requests for that evening?

See you all at the tournament!

This is Tim from Grand Forks and I will be attending, hell or high
water. I have been dying to play a game of V:teS since my last game,
at regionals last year. Is there a cafe or something I can go into in
case i show up before noon? I'm the kinda guy who leaves early to be
sure to arrive on time. Have fun guys see ya soon. Oh would you guys
like me to bring any boosters? If you get back to me soon enough Im
sure I can have rob or jon order them for the store and Ill bring them
along. Otherwise we have some Ebony Kingdoms and Keepers on the
shelves currently. Plus some decks from keepers of tradition, 3rd Ed
and Legacies of Blood. Let me know either way though see ya in a
couple weeks.

There are 3 of us currently planning on attending the tourney.
Galen, Mike, and Myself. Still trying to convince more people to

Any hotel suggestions?

We plan on driving up Saturday morning and drive home Sunday night.

Thanks,

My recommendation is The Lakeshor Motor Inn. It's on the north side of
Virginia, approx 10 blocks from Plaza Bowl. I've stayed there on a
number of occasions. It's moderately priced, and equals the quality of
the more expensive, 'big name' motels along the main highway into town.
Here's a link:

My apologies for getting back to this thread late. Internet has been spotty up here in virginia.

Anyway, the lakeshor is a good place, as Jim has already suggested. It is near the Plaza Bowl, and just a stones through from a grocery store as well.

And with more out of town guests, a Saturday activity is sounding really awesome. Any ideas/suggestions?

I will also be attending the tourny. I was able to get that Monday
off.

I am also currently in the Twin Cities. What times do you guys at the
Source normally play? I heard Wednesdays at around 5:00pm.

Well as the day gets closer it seems less and less likely that i can

thi weekend. I hope to see you all and I will do what I can to make
it out.

The Blood Runs Cold is running strong with its fifth iteration. Thanks
to all who attended especially those who traveled 3+ hours to get to
Virginia, MN. All deck styles were played in the tournament from Beast
Combat, Masika wall, Ventrue vote, and Malk bleed. There were also a
few interesting occurrences during one of the rounds.

Blood Runs Cold
12 players
2 round + final

The people for the final table looked like this:
1. Forrest with 4-5 Brujah Vote 6VP 2GW
2. Josh with Imbued Bleed 5VP 1GW
3. Mike with Ravnos Swarm 5VP 1GW
4. Tony with Masika Daimoinon Wall 3VP
5. Galen with Ventrue Vote 2VP

The table seating was Forrest preying on Josh preying on Tony preying
on Mike preying on Galen. As soon as people saw there was Imbued on
the table the everyone went after the imbued deck and unmasking early.
Smiling Jack was played early on and everyone let it sit hoping it
would oust the imbued. The imbued did what they due making about 5
minions in a very short time. Forrest got out 3 minions, Galen got
about 4-5 minions, Mike could not get the babies going, and Tony
brought out his star Masika and the Textbook Damnation. The Imbued got
down to one pool three different times but kept just able to oust the
next two people. Galen ousted Forrest when Forrest was shut down by
the imbued. It was a battle to see who would take the final oust.
Galen kept bloating enough to stay outside the bleeds by the Josh's
Imbued. Finally, Galen got an opening and bled and voted with all his
minions to win the table with 3 VP.

Congratulations to Galen with the tournament win.

In truth I was only one step a head of Forrest in taking the table. If
he was able to have just one more turn before I put him in the hurt
locker. I would have been done for. He had the card in his hand after
his discard. I needed to act when I did, Or he had vote lock with me
having 10 vote min to a max of 16 with the edge. He would have 12 with
a +1 bleed for most of his bleeders.

The thing I sincerely appreciate about Galen: When the game's over
and he's taken the victory laurels, he makes me feel that I won . . .
and that's the scenario every time we play. Congrats on the win,
Galen. Sorry I couldn't make it.

Tony mentioned that he's waiting on your deck list. Do you think you
could post it here?

I'm also curious to see any of the other decks played, especially
Kevin Zika's. ...To RPG or not to RPG, that is the question.

Again Galen, congratz,

Jim
