Hello Everyone!
We are conducting an in-person as well as an online user-study, and participants are needed. The study aims to evaluate how efficient it is for humans to analyze data in a 3D immersive environment compared to analyzing data on a 2D desktop screen.
Participating in the in-person study will give you a chance to engage in a mixed reality environment using the Microsoft HoloLens device. Participating in the online study will allow you to experience a 3D WebGL environment. You can participate in only one of the studies.
Please fill out this questionnaire to sign up for a 3D data experience: https://virginiatech.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3OEFrUgaqkcqVtr. The in-person study will take place in Experience B Studio at Moss Arts Center, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. The online study will take place over Zoom. Participants will be compensated $10 upon completion of the study. The study has been approved by the Virginia Tech Institutional Review Board: Protocol No. 19-118.
