Subject: IWiN Electronics Recyling Drive - Earth Week
Thank you for participating in the IWiN Electronics Recycling Drive!
Till date we have collected over 800 units of small handheld electronics with more coming in. This is Earth week and we hope to get the word out about our drive to the campus and community. Please forward this email widely and encourage people to donate their old and broken electronic items to our drive.
All proceeds from this "no landfill" fundraiser will benefit - "Healthy Homes" - a Peace Corps Guatemala initiative to empower women in the villages of Miman Moq'lil Yalix Moq'lil and Nuq'witz; 3 Q'anjob'al Mayan communities to adopt sustainable and health improving structures in their homes such as wood burning stoves, cement floors and water storage units.
We are collecting: Cell phones, cell phone accessories, laptops, PDAs, gaming devices, ink cartridges, iPods and MP3 players, GPS, E-readers, used ink cartridges, DVDs (movie) portable hard drives and calculators.
