NComputing Best Practices:

• Install Fresh Copy of the Operating System.
Make sure that you have created at least 2 partitions. One for the
Operating system and other partition is for the user and application
data.
• Install all the Device Drivers.
• Install proper driver for display adapter ( not the generic driver )
• Update with latest Service pack.( Except SP1 for Windows 2008 Server
R2, Windows 7 – 32 bit & Windows 7- 64 bit,)
• Download and Install Latest Windows Security Update patches except
patches KB2479628 and KB2393802
• If you want to join the server to Domain then do so now.
• Install all the applications except the Antivirus software.
• Download the corresponding latest vSpace software from
www.ncomputing.com/softwaredownload
( vSpace version 5.1.3 for Windows Server 2008/Vista/Windows7
• Disable the Firewall.
• Reboot the Machine once before you start installing the vSpace
software.
• Install the vSpace Software and reboot the machine.
• Register vSpace Server software.( One more reboot is preferred)
• Install Antivirus software ( Make sure that antivirus software is
supported by vSpace)
• It is prefer to set the Windows Automatic Update setting to
“download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them".
