Swami Vivekananda was born  at 3, Gourmohan Mukherjee Street in Calcutta, on 12 January 1863 during the Makar Sankranti festival. 151 years later, His Birthday will be celebrated all across the globe and in India as National Youth Day. To the grand and pompous celebrations, Bangalore Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal wants to add a small offering in his lotus feet. Please join us in making this a success.

152nd Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated on 12th January 2014 by Bangalore Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal at Marthahalli, Bangalore.  Mahamandal workers distributed Oranges, Exercise Books and Pencils to nearly 50 slum children from extremely poor background. Sri Manjunath C, spoke briefly about the importance of this special day and how to build life.

A special study circle was held at the residence of Partha Adhikary in the evening which was attended by more than 20 young men. Tapas Datta spoke on Swamiji and Modern Science, Partha Adhikary spoke on Swamiji and Life building, and Biswatosh Chakroborty spoke on Swamiji and his love for Physical Activities. Sri Sanjeeb and Nilabrata Goswami presented songs on Swamiji and Mahamandal.

In this occasion, a donation of Rs 20,000/- was given to Akhil Bharat Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal for its building Fund.
