Wish you Happy and Prosperous New Year 2015.
Poltu Bera is blessed with a matching heart on 2nd January. The operation was completed on around 2:30 PM in BGS Global Hospital on same day. Dr Anand Subhramonium and team declared that operation was completely successful. Most probably you are getting regular update through facebook on Patient’s health and media updates.
Present Heath Condition:
There were a lot of challenges to handle post operation complexities. Probable rejection of new heart which generally happens within 24hours didn’t happen. New heart is functioning well. A significant blood loss due to low platelet count was major concern until yesterday. Today blood loss stopped. Ventilation is removed. However, slight kidney dysfunction is noticed.
Story of Receiving Heart:
There was significant media coverage across almost all local news channels, leading newspapers. There are two reasons – story touched people’s heart and the way Bangalore Traffic Police coordinated transport of the heart within lowest possible time during high traffic condition of Bangalore.
Some of our well-wishers were praying for Poltu on 1st January with the following belief. Sri Sri Ramakrishna attained the state of Kalpataru on 1st day of January, 1886 at Kasipur Uddanbati. He showered every individual what he / she desired.
Other side, after cutting cake for New Year's Eve , Balaji, 21, left his house and was going towards Ayyappa Temple in Jalahalli West. He was declared brain dead following a deadly accident on January 1. The same heart has been transplanted on Poltu Bera in BGS Global Hospital. We cannot infer God’s game.Our deepest condolence to Let Balaji’s family and sincere thanks for brave decision. May Balaji’s great soul Rest in eternal peace and Pray his Heat Lives forever with Poltu.

Update on Campaign:
We could raise 5.75 lacs within 15 days of campaign worldwide. And this made possible to take decision for operation. Our sincere thanks to you all who already contributed and volunteered for this noble cause. As you are aware of that post operation treatment/medication is very expensive (almost Rs 20000 per month).
