I visited Karkai Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Seva Pratisthan which is situated almost 6 km away from my village. I was literally spellbound to see the spectrum of services being provided by this organization. This is an example of how one, who is inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s visionary ideas on education for comprehensive development of individuals, can start a small organization almost with nothing and gradually grow to an extent which is significantly visible to foster services in remote villages. I visit this organization in regular intervals. It was very much prominent to me that this organization is growing very fast and quality of students passing from this organization are very much different than other students in village. Through my interaction and being with them few hours I have observed that students bear good moral character, few of them are good singers, ready to dive for any short of works (farming, cooking, fishing, participate in cultural functions, retreat, co-ordinate study circle, etc) and above all they are good students having peace of mind which they earned through practicing regular routine and day to day activities in this beautiful environment. I strongly believe that this organization will grow like banyan tree by the grace of Thakur, Ma & Swamiji and this organization will show the light and inspire young people within us to do something for society.
I personally request all VYC members to contribute for this noble cause as per individual capacity.
