I am delighted to be able announce three internationaly renowned leading commentators on Venezuela are now confirmed for our May 10 Conference and will be able to give detailed accounts of what's really been happening in Venezuela:
1. Seumas Milne, the Guardian writer who recently interviewed Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro
2. Mark Weisbrot, visiting from the USA.  A regular columnist in the Guardian for Venezuela, Mark was recently in Caracas to meet President Maduro with Danny Glover amongst others. Mark is co-director of the Centre for Economic and Policy Research in Washington DC, president of Just Foreign Policy and co-wrote Oliver Stone's documentary South of the Border.
3. Fran Perez, Secretary for International Solidarity of the IU (United Left) in Spain, who have been amongst those at the forefront of opposing the anti-democratic, Venezuelan right-wing's offensive in Europe in recent weeks (see more here).
