About the Speaker: 

Swami Shuddhidananda is a senior monk of the Ramakrishna Mission started by Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. He joined the Mission in 1993. In 2003, after ten years of training, he was initiated into the monastic vows by revered Swami Ranganathanandaji Maharaj. In 1999 he was posted to Advaita Ashrama. Since 2019 he is the President of Advaita Ashrama. Advaita Ashrama is a unique centre envisioned by Swami Vivekananda, which is dedicated to the practice and preaching of Advaita Vedanta. It is one of the premier publication centres of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission. During the 27 years of his stay at Advaita Ashrama, the Swami has been involved in the publication of several important works dealing with Vedanta, Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.

He has been the Chief Editor of a number of important books like 1) The Message of Vivekachudamani, 2) The Message of Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, 3) Western Admirers of Sri Ramakrishna and His Disciples, 4) Swami Vivekananda as the Turning Point, and 5) Hinduism the Faith Eternal, to mention a few. His special area of interest is the philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga, Hinduism, and also Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. He is a well-known speaker who has addressed audiences all over India, including IITs and other prestigious forums. He conducts regular spiritual retreat at Mayavati in which serious seekers of Truth from all over India and even abroad participate.
