{VSC-IISc} Gentle reminder for the VSC Session on 24th March 2026

Welcome to VSC IISc weekly class.
Date and Time:- 24th March 2026, 6:30 - 8:30 PM..
Venue: Warden Room, 1st floor, A Block Hostel, above A Mess, IISc.

>From today's class we will be starting a book "Call to the Youth of Nations". VSC, IISc is thinking to organize a quiz competition in the month of March on this book. The classes that we do from today will be helpful for preparation of the quiz.
We encourage the IISc community to attend the VSC classes in person.If you are unable to make it today, you may join the class online using this Google Meet link:

Meeting minutes of last class:
1. In the last class we completed the book His call to the Nations.
2. As a concluding lecture there were multiple important comments made by Swamiji in terms of keeping up the ideals with respect to India.
3. Renunciation and service are the national ideals of India.
4. One must have faith in oneself that he is born to do great things.
5. India will be raised with the power of spirit, and not with the power of soul.
6. If one is able to sacrifice his/her life for a cause then only he/she can become a leader.
7. Expansion (being unselfish) is life and contraction is death.
8. The only service for the lower class is to educate them. Feel for the poor, the ignorant.
9. Be the servant while leading.
10. Swamiji's faith is on the young generation who are lions.
11. True equality can never be achieved on earth.
12. God and Truth are the only politics in the world.
13. Next we started to read a new book by Swami Nikhilananda ji Maharaj on Biography of Vivekananda
14. In the upcoming class we will start from Chapter-2 of Swamiji's Biography.
