Today we will continue SWAMI VIVEKANANDA A Biography by His Eastern and Western Disciples

Meeting minutes of last week:-
  1. Narendranath (Swami Vivekananda) felt that being in the presence of Shri Ramakrishna was itself a deep spiritual practice, requiring intense concentration and purity. His company stirred the souls of his disciples, lifting them from worldly awareness to divine emotion and spiritual ecstasy.
  2. The relationship between the Master and his disciples was warm, natural, and free from ego, filled with both divine presence and joyous play. Naren (Swami Vivekananda) especially received subtle and powerful training from the Master, often through playful or indirect methods. Ramakrishna deeply believed in the potential divinity of every individual and guided his disciples with silent, personal insight.
  3. Unlike other disciples Naren questioned the Master and tested his teachings, ultimately gaining the strongest conviction through personal realisation. Shri Ramakrishna admired Naren’s intense spiritual strength and habit of enquiry, calling it “Shiva-power,” and even prayed that Maya be added to help him engage with the world so that he can fulfil his destiny.
  4. The Master’s teaching style was grounded in experience and realisation, not debate or dry philosophy, often breaking and discouraging vain arguments with song or silence.
  5. Ramakrishna's power lay in the radiance of his character—his lived example of humility, purity, and boundless love for all beings. His central teachings stressed sincerity, inner longing, and the conquest of lust and greed as the true path to God-realisation, beyond all dogma and ritual.
