Dear Members of the VSA Community!
On behalf of the Chairs it is my great pleasure to officially inaugurate the IEEE Task Force on Hyperdimension Computing (https://cis.taskforce.ieee.org/hdcvsa/about/)! The task force is active under the Neural Networks Technical Committee of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society.
The mission of this Task Force is to advance HD/VSA from both theoretical and applied perspectives. It aims to foster innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange while consolidating an active, interdisciplinary, and international research community around this rapidly growing area.
The area of Hyperdimensional Computing is rapidly growing, and we hope that this organizational step will help to further consolidate the community, foster new collaborations, and build bridges to other communities within the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. Please join our Task Force!
Here is the list of closest upcoming events of the Task Force:
Note that the BeNeLux meetup is aligned with the WCCI week in Maastricht (2026 IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence), therefore if you attending WCCI and have an opportunity to join us for the meetup in Ghent.
Format: The meetup will be an informal gathering of researchers working on or interested in Hyperdimensional computing and related algorithms. The main goal is to create a welcoming environment to share ideas and to spark new research collaborations.
Location: Meeting room 1.2 James Maxell in the IGent building, campus Ardoyen, Technologiepark-Zwijnaarde 126, 9052 Gent, Belgium. The campus can be reached easily using public transport. Please refer to this page for more information. If you come by car, please send us your license plate number beforehand, that way, we can arrange free parking.
Time and date: Thursday 25/6: 12:00-16:00
Tentative schedule:
Call for action: Please confirm your attendance by sending an e-mail to Sam Leroux (Sam.L...@UGent.be) by June 10 2026.
Kind regards,
Evgeny Osipov, Antonello Rosato and Denis Kleyko
