So – if I am writing an application in Java, and I have an XSD file, I can create an API that allows me to build up the XML document using API calls instead of having to mess with document nodes, tags, and so forth. Is there a way to extract from the JDK’s SOAP API the XML content as a string?  For the VRRS document, I’d like to be able to pull that string out and store it as a data value in a different SOAP object for transmission.

The SOAP XML and the payload XML will be completely separate.

There are libraries that let you deal with XML as Java objects.  Look for JAXB.  (I’m way out of date on these.)

The ingredient we start with is sand, which is
pretty unremarkable.  We get from sand to
microprocessors as the sheer result of talent.
