Please encourage your daughters, sisters, nieces, friends, friends' daughters, etc to participate in this event.
It's even beneficial to those getting ready for college.  It's a great opportunity to learn the tips and gain confidence before you leave the warmth of your parents' home.
Flap your wings and fly high!!!

Hi Bao Loc, Tuong Vi and anh Van,
Could you help cover this event for VATV?
Thanks
Lan

Camp Activities

ALL sessions are interactive. We will not be PREACHING to you.  We want you to have fun, make friends, and FEEL EMPOWERED when you go home so you can make a difference.  This camp is run by girls like you (just add 5-10 years to your age and experience). =P

Self-Defense Class:

This is a MUST in life.  You will learn techniques to take care of yourself and you will learn how to react in different, scary situations.  Be prepared to kick some butt!  You can teach your moms and others what you learn!

Sexual Abuse Training:

Sorry, this is a depressing topic- but it’s important to talk about because many of your friends may have been abused and you might not even know it! We’ll teach you how to identify signs of sexual abuse and what you can do to help.  This is something every girl should learn to protect herself and her friends/family.  Sadly, it’s more common than you think.

Relationship Info:

Has anyone ever backstabbed you? Have you ever gotten into fights with your parents?  Does everyone annoy you?  Be prepared because this session is deeeeeep psychology!  There are always people in your life who drive you nuts or make you mad, but if you understand why are the way they are, you’ll empathize with them and you can help them.  That’s right, you can even learn to help your enemy.

For girls in 10h – 12th grade, we’ll have a Q&A session about relationships run by college & graduate students who’ve been through it all.  We won’t be delving into any sexual topics but we want to answer any other questions you might have.

Beauty Workshop:

First off, none of us ever feel like we are perfect.  My nose is too big, my eyes are too small, my hair is too flat, yada yada yada.  We do things to make ourselves look better, like: work out, wear makeup, buy nice clothes – there’s nothing wrong with that!  BUT, it’s just never enough.  Sometimes, you can get addicted to making yourself look better and you don’t know how to FEEL better.  This workshop is run by girls who have had their fair share of ups and downs.  Trust us, you’ll want these tips to make yourself feel better and help your friends feel better. Learn what to say and do when your friends feel blue (like the corny rhyme? We promise there won’t be more of that at camp, haha).
