Vancouver, BC...The Vogue Theatre is hot with the sounds of South
Africa and the heat will continue to rise as Ysis Entertainment
announces UMOJA will be held over until December 30th, 2007. In
addition, Ysis Entertainment is making it easier than ever for
audiences to experience UMOJA with a special limited time ticket offer
on shows from November 13th to 25th where all seats for this joyful
musical are only $40 and $50.

is just such an experience. Since 2001, audiences worldwide have been
erupting in joyous ovations to this bold, colourful and jubilant
celebration of life.
The heart pounding production features 40 dynamic dancers, singers and
musicians, many from the impoverished neighbourhoods of South Africa.
Through throbbing drum beats, passionate voices and acclaimed
choreography the ensemble cast tells the moving tale of the music of
the South African people from the earliest tribal rhythms to today's
urban club scene. From the remarkable synchronicity of the Venda Snake
dance, to the soaring sounds of gospel and a capella, to the intricate
steps of gumboot dancing, the soul of Africa bares itself in music and
sensual dance.
