The Code of Ethics specialist position is an entry level position. The Code of Ethics specialist works under general direction of the Assistant Manager and is responsible for reviewing and processing daily brokerage account confirmations and monthly and quarterly statements.
The Code of Ethics specialist will analyze brokerage account confirmations and match the confirmations to a personal trade request using the Protegent Personal Trade application (application database used to monitor personal trading).
Monthly and quarterly brokerage statements will be analyzed to identify trading activity and other misc. activities (transfers, shares received, etc) and ensure that they have been put into Examiner.
Trading activity not in Examiner will need to be entered by the Code of Ethics specialist.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review Brokerage Confirmation & Statements
Input/update trade activity into personal trading system.
Review daily brokerage Confirmations
Review monthly and quarterly statements to ensure transactions and other misc. activities (transfers, shares received, etc.) have been input into the personal trading system.
Reconciliation of holdings in the personal trading system and monthly/quarterly brokerage statements.
Code violations:
Identify Code breaches.
Generate system reports
Generate reports as necessary, to ensure accuracy of applicable databases; generate and process PeopleSoft reports.
Send 407 letters to new and existing employees broker dealers as necessary and ensure each letter is tracked and follow up as necessary to obtain required statements.
Miscellaneous:
Assist in preparation of Annual Certifications
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Commerce, (Degree in Finance is preferable MBA Finance/M.COM)
