Hello,

I have just found this tiny module on Dealextreme:

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/gy-81-3050-nine-axis-mpu-3050-bma020-bmp085-mwc-flight-control-module-for-arduino-148075

For 25EUR that's a steal - the comparable Sparkfun 9DOF Sensor stick
(https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10724) is $99 and doesn't come with a
barometric pressure sensor. OK, that last one isn't likely too useful
for tracking (but great for building an altimeter for anything flying
around!), but it is still cool thing to have on it. They have to be
producing these things by thousands, otherwise I cannot imagine how they
managed to get such a low price - only the gyros usually cost around
15EUR ...

However, before you rush to buy it, this *isn't* a complete tracker. You
will still need something to interface it to the PC - an Arduino,
Teensy, Bus Pirate or a custom solution and adapt the AHRS software to
work with it (should be quite simple). That is still way cheaper than
the Razor IMU - an Arduino is around 25EUR, with clones much cheaper,
so for about 50EUR and a bit of work you can have a decent 3DOF tracker,
e.g. for your Rift once it arrives.

Regards,

Jan

Hello,

There is also this module - only gyro + accelerometer (no magnetometer
or baro), but costs only 9EUR:
