Hello,

I have read your mail but it is not really clear to me what you are after. Feedback on the game design? Are you looking for people to help you make this work?

Or is this simply an advertisement for the game we have been discussing here 3 years ago because of a rather dubious fundraising campaign already and you hope someone here will buy?

I think this is not the best venue for advertising - if you want to market your game, you should get it into the Oculus (or whatever) store and promote it there, not "spamvertise" it on the mailing list.

Regards,

Jan

Hello Jan,

Thank you for reading my mail, but I think you're getting the wrong idea.
I'm not a designer nor am I working on this game.

I am sorry, I have misunderstood then. My apologies. The original author who has posted the BouncerVR here few years ago had a similar Dutch sounding name too, so I have assumed you two are affiliated. Mea culpa.

I justed wanted to publicly post my ideas somewhere, hoping other people would reply with their own ideas and their opinions, so that we could create some creative concept 'post' to maybe help the creator.

No offense, but that sounds odd to me - I mean, it is a commercial game that is apparently being sold already. If the creator was looking for input, wouldn't it make more sense for him (or one of his team) to come forward and ask for it? My impression is that BouncerVR was a finished game, not an ongoing project. Also why would people want to do free game design work for someone else to profit from?

You may try to submit the ideas you have outlined in your original posting to the author of the game directly, I am not sure he is still on the list.

Because this is a open group for VR geeks I thought this would be the perfect place for it, but appearently not?
And I'm new to Google Groups, so with "not "spamvertise" it on the mailing list." do you mean everyone in this group gets a mail when there is a new post or reply?

Google Groups are a mailing list with a "forum-like" interface. So some people read them online, some prefer to receive the posts by e-mail. However, that doesn't really matter - my point was that this was the wrong place to promote commercial products like that, if the only real intention was to raise awareness/sell more copies/subscriptions.

All the best,

Jan

Okay, thanks for the information about Groups. Then I only have one more question: should I delete this 'post'?

No, certainly not. It won't do much anyway as you can't "unsend" an e-mail that is in people's mailbox already.

Regards,

Jan
