Using a MIDI keyboard with VPT 7

Greetings from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design! Takk for helt rå programvare :)

I'm quite confused with regards to using a MIDI-keyboard with VPT 7. I'm on a mac.

I can get a signal from the keyboard just fine. The problem is that I'm only getting changes on midinote and velocity, and I see nothing in the documentation or online about using these values in the router tab. The router only takes readings from value.

Ideally, I would probably want to play short video clips on 81 different surfaces corresponding to what key is pressed. The velocity should change what video clip is played.

Hi,
in theory VPT should automatically detect if your midi device is sending cc values or note -velocities. Velocities are only treated as on-off though. I only have access to a midi controller that sends cc values, but if I want to use a button to trigger a clip, let´s say controller 23 I would enter the following in the router (assuming I want to trigger clip 9 in video source 1):
23 video 1 clipnr 9 9
so everytime I hit the button clip 9 is triggered.
